Cambridge B2 First (FCE) and Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE1) represent a high level of competency in all skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking, as well as grammar and a wide range of vocabulary. They are internationally recognised, never expire, may assist with university entry and help prepare students wanting to take IELTS qualifications, including the IELTS for UKVI test.

Changes to visa and immigration requirements

From 26 March 2027, anyone seeking Permanent Settlement (also known as Indefinite Leave to Remain) in the UK will need to pass an approved test, such as IELTS for UKVI, at B2 level. This is already a requirement for a range of UK visas .
