B1+ Upper Intermediate
Not yet ready for B2 First or C1 Advanced? Just want to take your English to the next level? This class could be for you. Students attend one three-hour class per week during term time and can join at any point during the year. Maximum class size is 12 students. Classes take place at Windsor Library on Tuesday mornings from 09.30am - 12.30pm.
Cambridge B2 First
(FCE)
This course runs over a full academic year (34 weeks), but students can join at any time and do not need to complete the course. Students attend two classes per week each lasting two hours. Maximum class size is 12 students. Classes take place at Windsor Library on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 09.30am - 11.30am.
Cambridge C1 Advanced (CAE)
This course runs over a full academic year (34 weeks), but sudents can join at any time and do not need to complete the course. Students attend two classes per week each lasting two hours. Maximum class size is 12 students. Classes take place at Windsor Library on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 12.30pm - 2.30pm.
IELTS for UKVI at B2
Skills-based preparation classes for those seeking to pass the IELTS for UKVI test at B2 level for Visa or Immigration purposes. Suitable for those already at B2 standard. This course runs for 24 weeks over three terms (9 weeks / 9 weeks / 6 weeks). Students can join any time and very strong students may be ready for the test after one or two terms. Students attend one class per week each lasting two and a half hours. Maximum class size is 12 students. Classes take place at Windsor Library on Tuesday afternoons from 1.00pm – 3.30pm.

Course details
All classes are taught by Sarah, a highly experienced teacher with a proven track record and many satisfied students (see testimonials below). The maximum class size is 12 students.
Each competitively priced Cambridge B2 First and Cambridge C1 Advanced course involves:
- Following a Cambridge Exam coursebook (which students need to buy) with lots of extra materials and activities to enhance the learning experience and ensure progress, satisfaction and enjoyment while learning
- Access to a pdf of each class lesson and to materials used so that students can review and embed learning
- Homework set at the end of each class for submission / review in the following lesson:
- exercises marked in class to ensure understanding
- written work marked promptly and returned the following lesson with constructive feedback
- Ensuring students are aware of the exam criteria and are offered plenty of exam practice
- Provision of information on finding open exam centres for those students who want to take the exam (NB the cost of the exam must be paid by the student directly to the exam centre. The current cost for a Cambridge exam at our recommended exam centre is £220 for paper based or £250 for digital).
Our B1+ Upper Intermediate course follows the same format, but with a different coursebook.
Our skills-based preparation classes for IELTS for UKVI are tailored to meet the specific needs of the test at B2 level. The focus is on making sure students are ready for every part of the academic IELTS for UKVI test at B2 level: reading, speaking, listening and writing.
The IELTS for UKVI course also uses a coursebook and looks in detail at what students need to achieve to reach the necessary 5.5 standard in all four skills.
For all our classes, the appropriate coursebook must be purchased independently by the student at the beginning of the course. Coursebook prices vary according to the bookseller, but are commonly available new for £33 - £50 each. Used copies can often be found online at much lower prices.
